General information
Silver commemorative coins from "Alfons Mucha - Zodiac" series (consisting of twelve coins) have been issued by the Niue Philatelic and Numismatic Company, the Monetary Authority of the Government of Niue Island in connection with the 150th anniversary of the great Painter. Coins issued in cooperation with and under license of Mucha Foundation.
Obverse
Standard effigy of Elisabeth II, twelve Zodiac symbols along the rim, inscriptions "Niue Island", "Elisabeth II" and "1 dollar" as well as "2010", and the hallmark - "Ag 925".
Reverse
On the engraved background with Mucha ornaments, a coloured image of a women painting by A. Mucha ("Feather"), name and polished symbol of the Gemini zodiac sign.
