The plot is about a girl who cheated wolf was distributed in France and Italy since the Middle Ages. In the Alpine foothills and in the Tyrol tale known at least since the XIV century, very popular. The contents of the baskets varied: in northern Italy granddaughter grandmother carrying fresh fish, in Switzerland - the head of a young cheese, in the south of France - cake and a pot of oil. In folklore recordings plot is as follows:
Mother sends her daughter to her grandmother with milk and bread. She meets a wolf, tells him where to go. Wolf beats girl, kills grandmother, prepares meat from her body, and from blood - the drink, dressed in her grandmother and goes to her bed. When a girl comes to the wolf asks her to eat. Grandma's cat tries to warn the girl about what she eats the remains grandmother, but the wolf throws cat clogs and kills her. Wolf then offers the girl to undress and lie down next to him, and clothes thrown into the fire. She does so, and ulegshis beside the wolf, asked why he had a lot of hair, broad shoulders, long nails, big teeth. The last question the wolf replies, "It is somewhat quicker to eat you, my child," and eats the girl.
