This icon is stored in the temple of the Holy Patriarchs Hebron, the oldest of the cities mentioned in the Scriptures. On the icon shows the appearance of God to Abraham in the form of three angels. This is not the canonical image. Forefather Abraham, whom God has called to be the ancestor of the Israelites, was a model of loyalty and faith in God. It took three strangers and invited guests in front of the shadow of the Oak of Hebron. Abraham and his wife Sarah, who was 99 years childless and the Lord has promised them the following year wonder. And the miracle happened: they had a son Isaac.
